How to pack a storage unit efficiently
Stack heavy, sturdy boxes on the bottom. Lighter boxes go on top. This protects fragile items and keeps everything stable.
Leave an aisle down the middle of your unit so you can reach items at the back without unloading everything.
Label boxes on the sides (not just the top) so you can read them when they're stacked.
Store items you'll need to access frequently near the front. Things you won't need for months go in the back.
Disassemble large furniture when possible to maximize space. Keep hardware in labeled bags taped to the furniture pieces.
Use your largest items (dressers, wardrobes) as natural shelves. Fill the drawers and interior spaces.
